Currambine Central, Perth WA

Currambine

At Currambine, the joint venture plans are to undertake a major expansion and refurbishment of the existing shopping centre and to develop the parcel of vacant land to maximise retail turnover and achievable rentals.

Currambine Central is located approximately 30kms north-west of the Perth CBD. Currambine currently consists of a Woolworths supermarket & petrol station, 6 plex Grand Cinema plus 25 specialty stores. Currambine Central will be expanded over time to provide residents of Perth’s north-west community with a more diverse shopping service and experience. The expansion will be undertaken within five precincts (Dan Murphy’s Precinct, Market Precinct, Entertainment & Lifestyle Precinct, Established Mall and the Showroom/Office Precinct) each designed to have its own unique attributes. The expansions plan for the centre include:

  • maintaining a very high level of convenience for customers, especially in relation to on-grade car parking
  • creating a point of difference together retail centre in the greater trade area
  • anchoring each new precinct with a leading retailer and/or a number of complimentary retail offers
  • connect the centre to its primary and key trade areas ie. Iluka, Burns Beach, Ocean Reef and up to Brighton

The Dan Murphy’s precinct is the first stage of the redevelopment of the existing Currambine Central and it is intended to provide a new “anchor” to the property. The new and experienced Currambine Central is designed to create community spaces. Focused on being a destination for the community to meet, shop and be entertained.

Upon completion of the development works, there will be an additional 9,000sqm of retail space, including the 1,400sqm Dan Murphy’s liquor outlet.
